Tekno is setting Where Did Love Go? in motion with Bamboo and Press Button

Tekno has announced his forthcoming album Where Did Love Go?, set for release in June 2026. Alongside the announcement, he unveils two new singles, “Bamboo” and “Press Button”, offering the first full introduction to the project’s sound and direction.
Released via emPawa Africa, the singles highlight the range and cohesion that define the upcoming body of work. “Bamboo”, which opens the album, is self-produced by Tekno and built on a smooth, groove-led Afropop foundation. It sets a calm, melodic tone that eases listeners into the project’s emotional core.
In contrast, “Press Button”, produced by Yung Willis, shifts the energy with a dancehall-inflected bounce that feels immediate and rhythm-forward. Together, the records reflect two ends of Tekno’s sonic palette, from laid-back introspection to vibrant, movement-driven sound.

Where Did Love Go? is an eight-track project rooted in themes of romance, nostalgia, and reflection. Blending Afrobeats, Afro-pop, and dancehall influences, the album presents a cohesive soundscape shaped largely by Tekno himself, who takes on a central role in its production and overall direction.
Following the release of “Bamboo” and “Press Button”, Tekno is set to share “Matter”, a mid-tempo, R&B-leaning track that adds another layer to the album’s emotional arc ahead of its full release.
Where Did Love Go? is now available for pre-save, with the full project arriving June 2026.
